I join the overwhelming majority of Americans to demand an amendment to the United States Constitution to end the domination of big money in politics and give voice to all Americans.

I will stand with all Americans, without regard to party or other differences, and urge all candidates and elected officials to do the same, in order to pass and ratify such a constitutional amendment as soon as possible.

Writing the 28th Amendment – Philadelphia, PA

November 19, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm UTC+0

With the first Constitutional amendment in the digital age, there’s no reason why every American can’t be at the table! American Promise is co-hosting with the American Constitution Society and the National Constitution Center a debate about the proposed Constitutional amendment to allow political spending limits at the NCC in Philadelphia, PA.

In favor of this amendment are Jeff Clements, President and Founder of American Promise, and Elizabeth Doty, business leader and co-founder of the American Promise Bay Area Business Council.

In opposition are Bradley Smith, Founder of the Institute of Free Speech, and Floyd Abrams, Senior Counsel at Cahill Gordon & Reindel.

Moderating this debate is Ciara Torres-Spelliscy, Fellow at the Brennan Center for Justice, and Leroy Highbaugh Sr. Research Chair and Professor of Law at Stetson University.

After the event, join citizen leaders for food and drink at 8pm at Revolution House (200 Market Street Philadelphia, PA 19106) to discuss tangible ways to get involved with this grassroots movement!
