Sharon Dohrmann is a native Californian now living in Oregon. She has a degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz in Environmental Studies which she followed with two years of volunteer service with the Peace Corp in Niger, West Africa. Upon returning to the United States, Sharon continued to volunteer with environmental groups but forged a career as an IT Specialist with a focus on the implementation of scalable network infrastructure and systems for startups and other nascent organizations in a variety of sectors such as retail, education, and healthcare.
Now, with over 20 years of experience in technology, she joined American Promise to help build the systems necessary to pass the For Our Freedom Amendment so that we can restore the balance of power in government and give people the ability to enact necessary legislation to improve our lives. In her free time, Sharon serves on the board of a local climate nonprofit and enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, and rafting theRogue River with her husband and two children.
