Uniting Wisconsin Against The Threat of Outside Spending in Our Elections – June 2022
June 15, 2022 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am CDT
FOR OUR FREEDOM: Uniting Wisconsin Against The Threat of Outside Spending in Our Elections
Presented by American Promise & Rotary Club of Green Bay.
We are inviting you to a special event in Green Bay, Wisconsin, where we will learn more about a Constitutional solution to limit the threat of foreign actors, large donors and huge corporations in our elections. The millions of dollars pouring into our state campaigns fuel disinformation and misleading attacks that drown out voters’ voices in Green Bay — and across Wisconsin. But we know change is possible, driven by you and other Americans who are working to advance the For Our Freedom Amendment and return the fate of our elections to U.S. voters.
Join us for this in-person and live-streamed event (RSVP Below) where we will hear from local leaders and speakers, including American Promise’s new Executive Director Bill Cortese, joining the organization following his work in Republican politics and with American veterans following his service in the United States Marines.
Please join us, Wednesday, June 15 for a special breakfast Town Hall event at Hyatt Regency (and online). This is an opportunity for all Wisconsinites to learn, discuss and evaluate solutions to the singular issue of outsized spending in our politics and the threat that makes to our principles and our Constitutional Republic.
Featured Local + National Speakers:
- Lee Rasch, Executive Director, LeaderEthics-Wisconsin
- Judy Nagel, Rotary Club of Green Bay
- Alex Renard, Managing Director at Renard Ventures; Founder/Guide at Cedar Ridge Outdoors
- Howard Hauser, Co-Founder, Green Bay’s Growth Management Partners LLC
- Michael Poradek, Independent Candidate, Green Bay City Council (former)
- Jeff Clements, President & CEO, American Promise
- John Nusbaum, Silver Star Veteran & Former Mayor of De Pere, Wisconsin
How to get involved:
Join us at our upcoming Green Bay Townhall Event on June 15th at 8:00 am (7:30 for coffee and breakfast) at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Green Bay. At this event we will bring newcomers up to date and lay out our plan to move forward. This is not a local issue – the avalanche of dark money pouring into Green Bay politics is a bellwether for what’s to come in the rest of the state.
