Letters to the Editor are frequently one of the most widely read sections of a newspaper. This is a great opportunity to use your voice to educate and engage voters in your area.
This event is available to all American Promise volunteers. We will provide an in-depth training and there will be workshop time during the call to start your letter.
During the call, we will look at an example from Maine to show how you can respond to current events with a letter. In 2023, Maine became the 23rd state to call for the For Our Freedom Amendment by passing a referendum with a historic 86% support! The referendum charges the Maine Ethics Commission with issuing a report annually on progress made advancing the amendment. The report is expected to be issued by July 25th and we will use this example to show you how to respond to recent events in your state.
