Marissa Carpio is a public policy professional with experience navigating complex legislative environments and building coalitions across political divides. Most recently, she served as Policy Director at the Equality State Policy Center, where she led statewide efforts focused on election policy, governmental transparency, and public participation. Previously, at the Wyoming Women’s Foundation, she helped lead advocacy that contributed to the passage of postpartum Medicaid expansion in the Wyoming state legislature. Marissa began her career in national service with AmeriCorps and has since developed a versatile background spanning legislative strategy, public engagement, and nonprofit work. She holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Wyoming and has testified before legislative committees, moderated statewide public forums, and contributed to policy coverage in a range of state and national media outlets. Still based in Wyoming, she continues to work at the intersection of policy, strategy, and civic engagement.
