Welcome to American Promise Alaska!

Alaska became the 21st state calling for a constitutional amendment to get Big Money out of politics in November 2020 when Ballot Question 2, led by Alaskans For Better Elections, officially passed. Alaskans – right, left, and center – now must ensure the will of the people is heard on this crucial issue and build support from AK’s Congressional Delegation and State Legislature.

Sign the Pledge

I join the overwhelming majority of Americans to demand an amendment to the United States Constitution to end the domination of big money in politics and give voice to all Americans. I will stand with all Americans, without regard to party or other differences, and urge all candidates and elected officials to do the same, in order to pass and ratify such a constitutional amendment as soon as possible.

Grow your impact. Providing your full address ensures your elected officials know where you stand.

With your submission, you authorize American Promise to 1) publicly share your support to inspire others to join and 2) tell your elected officials that you want them to take action in support of the amendment. You may easily edit or withdraw your support at any time by contacting [email protected].

We’re Americans – Republicans, Democrats, Independents – working together to win a constitutional amendment to save American democracy!

The Supreme Court has made it unconstitutional to limit money spent in elections, leading to outside money pouring into Alaska to influence everything from Alaska’s 2018 gubernatorial race to the salmon initiative. The result? Local governments beholden to those other than their constituents, candidates dependent on major donors, growing industry and union power that override the desires of individual constituents, in brief, a government and the policies it creates up for sale to the highest bidder.

Our volunteers and allies are working towards adding Alaska to the growing list of states calling for a 28th Amendment to get big money out of politics. Wherever we act, we win.
