Join the Movement to Protect Maine Elections!
Mainers are joining Americans across the nation to come together and stand up to big money and say the decisions that matter in our states and our lives should be up to us. Learn more about this groundbreaking, grassroots campaign to eliminate foreign influence and corruption in Maine elections at Protect Maine Elections.
In 2020, more than $200 million was spent on the Maine Senatorial race, the vast majority of it from donors outside the state. One year later, a foreign government-owned entity spent $22 million to influence a record-shattering $90 million Maine ballot initiative. To protect the right of Maine voters to make our own decisions for our state and our way of life, we must stand together to end the flood of money drowning out our voices in our own elections.

"In 2020, we faced an election where a few billionaires and powerful activists buoyed by an endless supply of money, overwhelmed the voices of all of us. We were 20 feet under snow in an avalanche, and no one could hear us."
DAVID TRAHAN, Executive Director of the Sportsman's Alliance of Maine

"I want my children to say ‘my mom was an entrepreneur, and she helped pass an amendment to overturn Citizen’s United.’ I would like them to see that they can innovate, build, achieve their dreams, enjoy living in and working in Maine, and participate in our democracy on equal terms with all other citizens."

Under the Avalanche
“We were 20 feet under snow in an avalanche, and no one could hear us.”
–DAVID TRAHAN, former Republican State Senator and Executive Director of the Maine Sportsman’s Alliance

"When the government is allowed to pick winners and losers in the marketplace, we end up with an economy shaped by political clout rather than the quality of products and services."
