A member of the House Oversight Committee, Ro has worked for greater government transparency and on the House Armed Services Committee, fighting against special interests and their monopolistic behavior, tackling private companies that gouge from our defense budget and jack up the cost of our national security.

Hailed as the Shirley Chisholm of our times and known for her inspirational speaking style Nina Turner is a cable news commentator, defining political icon, and American Promise Advisory Board Member. She is national co-chair of the Bernie Sanders 2020 presidential campaign, led the grassroots organization Our Revolution, is a former state senator from Ohio and former professor of African American history. While serving in the Ohio Senate, Turner sought to find common ground with Republicans and Independents and to find paths for reconciliation between long-dueling interests.
