Big Money v. The People: Alaska Campaign Finance Speaking Tour – 49th State Brewery

Jeff Clements, President of American Promise, will be on a two week speaking tour across Alaska to build support for a national movement to win an amendment to the US Constitution to address out-of-control spending in US elections and secure the equal rights of Americans to effective representation and participation in self-government. Invited by local citizens in Alaska who are fighting to limit outside money in local land state elections, Jeff will talk about the dramatic growth in SuperPAC spending, the increasing role of concentrated wealth in elections and government, and what we can do to ensure that all the American people are equal citizens in our republic.

On the 20th of March, Jeff will be speaking as part of a panel moderated by Walter Carpeneti, fmr. Chief Justice of the Alaska Supreme Court. The event is open to the public, doors open at 5:50pm. No charge however there is a suggested donation of $5.
