As election season heats up, American Promise volunteers are organizing efforts around the country to contact candidates at all levels of government and ask them to pledge on record to use their office to advance the For Our Freedom Amendment.

Finding the right messaging to use when contacting a candidate or elected official can be challenging. Most of us will be familiar with the wording that is used by politicians of the same political affiliation. However, when speaking with someone across the isle, we may find that they use different talking points to express their opinions. Messaging can be a sensitive subject but that’s why we are here to help!

Join us for this one-hour workshop to learn how to tailor your terminology to connect with people from different political parties. We’ll discuss the talking points to use with each political party as well as the phrases to avoid.
