I join the overwhelming majority of Americans to demand an amendment to the United States Constitution to end the domination of big money in politics and give voice to all Americans.
 
I will stand with all Americans, without regard to party or other differences, and urge all candidates and elected officials to do the same, in order to pass and ratify such a constitutional amendment as soon as possible.

Citizen Leaders Book Club With
Elaine Weiss

Our mission at American Promise is to unite and empower all Americans to build a strong republic and healthy democracy. Knowledge is power. That’s why we are inviting you to join with Americans across the country for the Citizen Leaders Book Club. Each quarter, we will be reading a new book, and then be given the chance to meet together online with the author themselves!

In our conversation, we will discuss the suffragist movement’s successes and shortcomings and the inspiration and lessons we, as Americans, can use to form a more perfect union today. As well as the work and leadership of women of color for voting rights that took place during the movement and persisted well after the 19th Amendment. In her latest book, “The Woman’s Hour,” Weiss examines the decades-long suffragist movement that led to the 19th Amendment and women gaining the right to vote.September 15th we will be celebrating Constitution day and the 100 year anniversary since the ratification of the 19th Amendment with Author Elaine Weiss.
