The American Bar Association (ABA) has launched a Task Force for American Democracy to study current threats to self-government in the United States and make recommendations to address the underlying causes. American Promise recently submitted a Working Paper in which we asked the Task Force to consider recommending a constitutional amendment that would empower the states and Congress to address the out-of-control money in our campaigns and elections.
