Rally for Democracy at the Minnesota State Capitol Rotunda

Political divisiveness has been tearing our nation apart and preventing action on our most pressing issues. That division came to a head last year on January 6, 2021, when our democracy was attacked, part of a growing authoritarian, anti-democratic movement that continues to spread misinformation, question election outcomes and limit voting rights, particularly for voters of color.  And yet no reforms have passed to strengthen our democracy and mitigate the extremism that led to the attack and that continues to threaten it.

The time for reform is now.

We all value having a strong voice in our democracy, and these attacks are an attempt to divide us from one another and discourage us from uniting and making our voices heard. Let’s join together and rally to protect and strengthen our democracy!

Democracy reform organizations and state leaders championing reform will join with voters across the state on Wednesday, May 4 at 2PM in the Minnesota Capitol Rotunda to push back against efforts to take our democracy backwards and demand action to strengthen it – by protecting and expanding voting rights and passing proven and powerful reforms like Ranked Choice Voting, fair redistricting, campaign finance, and other reforms that will help us live up to the promises of our Constitution.
