Townhall on People Power: How to Get Big Money Out of Politics

Join an exciting conversation about democracy reform, the challenges of big money in our political system, and explore what actions you can take to make a difference. This Townhall will be moderated by Hedrick Smith, Pulitzer Prize-winning former New York Times reporter and editor and Emmy award-winning producer/correspondent. We will review the role of universities, legislators and individual advocates in serving as catalysts for change. Panelists will include: Professor Karen Hult from the Virginia Tech Department of Political Science, Delegate Chris Hurst, representing the 12th District, and Nancy Morgan, coordinator of the VA Chapter of American Promise.
