"Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth." — Muhammed Ali

To keep the promise of freedom, Americans have always answered the call to serve. We embrace and welcome our responsibility as citizens—to ourselves and families, our communities, to each other, and our future. Every day, Americans get up and answer this call.

When the big money donors turn even state and local elections into an ugly and divisive contest of the two parties, more and more Americans who would offer honest and fair service stay away, and neighbor is turned against neighbor.

Because we are citizens, not “consumers”, and in all of our states and communities, every American has something to offer, we will amend the constitution to combat corruption, end elite and foreign money control of our elections, and secure the free speech and representation of all Americans.

"According to the social workers’ Code of Ethics, 'fundamental to social work is attention to the environmental forces that create, contribute to, and address problems in living.' No problem affects so many people and so many aspects of the social and emotional needs of Americans—or wrongly concentrates power for the few—than the concentration of massive money in our political system."

"Repairing the loss of political voice among our citizenry, our ever-increasing wealth disparity, and our loss of military credibility in an ever more unstable world may be the greatest challenge America has ever confronted. But as always, Americans uniting together can do something big to fix this."

COL. LAWRENCE WILKERSON, U.S. Army (Ret.); former Chief of Staff, US Secretary of State General Colin Powell; Williamsburg, VA
