Utah State Pledge

I join the overwhelming majority of Utah to demand an amendment to the United States Constitution to end the domination of big money in politics and give voice to all Americans.
I will stand with Utah, without regard to party or other differences, and urge all candidates and elected officials to do the same, in order to pass and ratify such a constitutional amendment as soon as possible.

Utah & American Promise

Utah citizens are joining with Americans across the country to strengthen our nation against the corruption of money in politics, foreign interference, division, and dysfunction. We are using our voices to say that the decisions that matter in our state and our lives should be up to us.

In 2024, election spending totaled more than $20B in the United States. To protect the right of Utah voters to make our own decisions and our way of life, we must stand together to end the flood of money drowning out our voices in local, State and Federal elections.
Utah Is Ready to Ratify

Date Passed – March 6, 2025

On March 6, 2025, the Utah House joined their Senate colleagues in passing SJR 7, a resolution supporting an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would allow states to decide whether and how to regulate money in politics — becoming the 23rd state to support such an amendment. During the legislative session, the resolution — sponsored by Senate Majority Leader Kirk Cullimore and House Majority Leader Jefferson Moss — received unanimous committee votes of support in both chambers, and passed in both the Senate and House with near universal support.
