I join the overwhelming majority of Americans to demand an amendment to the United States Constitution to end the domination of big money in politics and give voice to all Americans.

I will stand with all Americans, without regard to party or other differences, and urge all candidates and elected officials to do the same, in order to pass and ratify such a constitutional amendment as soon as possible.

John Stroup brings an extensive background of leadership and financial expertise to American Promise. Having served as mayor of Clarion, as well as holding roles such as Chamber of Commerce president, Rotary Club president and director of a hospital foundation, Mr. Stroup’s wide-ranging experience in both community and financial organizations makes him an asset to our mission.

His experience as a cost analyst, sales manager and substitute teacher further exemplifies his ability to build bridges across industries and civic platforms. His dedication to community improvement and transparency in government is well aligned with the goals of American Promise.
