Matthew Powell serves as Pennsylvania State Manager for American Promise. Before joining American Promise, he was Vice President of Government and External Affairs for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.

After graduating from Keystone College in 2012, he moved to Washington, D.C., to serve the people of Pennsylvania in the office of Congressman Tom Marino. He was responsible for numerous policy areas, including healthcare, education, foreign affairs, and homeland security.

He brings his experience working on Capitol Hill and political campaigns, witnessing firsthand how dark money has taken control of our elections, to American Promise to help pass the For Our Freedom Amendment. He believes the 28th Amendment is necessary to give the power back to the people.

Matt Lives in the Lehigh Valley with his wife, Dr. Patricia Donovan, and in his spare time, he enjoys spending time on the golf course as an okay golfer and as a groundskeeper for Saucon Valley Country Club.
