Texas oil regulator sets new $9.2M fundraising record with energy industry support

Craddick raised almost $9.2 million, beating the previous record held by her own 2016 campaign, which raised $6.14 million. A report by Commission Shift, a nonprofit concerned with oil and gas oversight in Texas, alleges four incidents in which Craddick oversaw matters concerning companies that were donating to her campaign.
House and Senate Republicans are starting to panic about a huge money gap with Democrats

Congressional Republican leadership is asking their donors for more money, to compete with Democrats who have a substantial lead in fundraising for the 2024 elections. The head of the largest Super PAC backing House Republicans has asked donors for $35 million more in contributions, while other members of campaign leadership are sounding the alarm as Democrats are able to deploy more money on campaign ads in key battleground races. Democrats’ House Majority PAC has spent more than $210 million in ad reservations, while Republicans’ Congressional Leadership Fund has spent $140 million. In the Arizona Senate race, Democrats are outspending Republicans by $57 million, and enjoy a $41 million lead in each race in the Nevada and Wisconsin Senate elections.
