I join the overwhelming majority of Americans to demand an amendment to the United States Constitution to end the domination of big money in politics and give voice to all Americans.

I will stand with all Americans, without regard to party or other differences, and urge all candidates and elected officials to do the same, in order to pass and ratify such a constitutional amendment as soon as possible.

Bridging the Partisan Divide: Americans Can Work Together for the Success of the 28th Amendment

Bridging the Partisan Divide: Americans Can Work Together for the Success of the 28th Amendment

In an interview with Rebel HQ hosted by John Iadarola, American Promise Counsel Johannes Epke discusses the need for conversation between Democrats and Republicans in order for the 28th Amendment to gain sufficient support in Congress. The reforms established by the Amendment already have popular support among the public regardless of party.

American Promise Counsel Johannes Epke says lawmakers need to come together to communicate and work across the aisle on behalf of American citizens when it comes to democracy reform efforts. The United States is seeing a watershed moment in the fight against the corrupting influence of big money. Voters are tired of politicians listening to the biggest donors rather than to their constituents.

Despite widespread, cross-partisan support for democracy reforms among voters, partisanship in Congress often divides our representatives on these issues. Fortunately, we’re seeing growing support among current and former Senators and Representatives across the political spectrum for the 28th Amendment.

Tell your elected officials you support an amendment to get big money out of politics.

In this interview, Johannes says he believes the increasing role of big money in our elections has awakened a desire for change across the nation. He is confident that voters will make campaign finance reform a key issue in upcoming elections and call on elected officials to support the 28th Amendment. Showing our support for the 28th Amendment is crucial to its success. Sign our petition to tell Congress that you want a government which represents everyone, not just ultra-wealthy donors. Sign the petition here: https://bit.ly/2VuT4gl.
