For Immediate Release
(Harrisburg, PA) – American Promise is excited to announce its upcoming Lobby Day on Tuesday, April 30th. The event aims to raise awareness and garner support for HR 317 and SR 212 in the Pennsylvania State Capitol.
HR 317 and SR 212 are crucial pieces of legislation that seek to address the pressing issue of campaign finance reform. American Promise believes that the influence of dark and foreign money in politics undermines the democratic process and restricts the ability of ordinary citizens to have their voices heard. Through the introduction and passage of these resolutions, American Promise hopes to bring about meaningful change and restore faith in the electoral system.
Lobby Day will serve as an opportunity for concerned citizens and activists to advocate for the passage of both resolutions. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with their elected representatives, share their concerns, and emphasize the urgent need for change.
Beginning with a press conference at 9 A.M. at the Capitol Rotunda, key stakeholders, including American Promise members, HR 317 sponsor Representative Ben Waxman, Representative Tara Probst, and former Attorney-General Candidate Keir Bradford-Grey will be in attendance. American Promise invites all concerned citizens, activists, and organizations to join them.
